The Monster Hunter series is a hunting action game that pits players against giant monsters in a beautiful natural environment. The series has grown into a mega-hit along with the number of fans increasing steadily since the first Monster Hunter title made its debut in 2004. Outstanding sales figures from when it was first made available for portable gaming devices until our latest releases have reinforced its ongoing appeal.
Released globally in March 26th 2021, Monster Hunter Rise has shipped 10.3 million units as of June 30th 2022, winning the Grand Award "Game of the Year" at the Japan Game Awards 2021.
MONSTER HUNTER RISE: SUNBREAK, a massive expansion pack released on June 30th 2022 marks the 63rd title in the series.
In March 2024, the series will celebrate its 20th anniversary. The newest title, MONSTER HUNTER WILDS, is scheduled to be released in 2025.
